0 Professional Svcs. I was the lead consultant on a program review at Malone University for their orientation and special programs. I spent two days on campus interviewing students, faculty, staff, and alumni, and submitted a summary report to the university 4 weeks later.
0 Development & Service. In terms of FEN, there are two important areas I have invested: 1. I have facilitated the antiracism/diversity session during orientation. Called [thespacebetween], which is essentially an art gallery of about 50 pieces, I have planned and led this session for QUEST (fall program) and TRANSITIONS (mid-year program) along with my colleague, Nicole Parker. 2. My department, Student Development, has taken up the topic of AHANA students this year for our monthly professional development. In September, we kicked the year off with a FEN training session led by Razel Jones from HR. We have read various articles and chapters, as well, and will meet with a panel of students each month (African-American one month, Hispanic-American one month, Asian-American one month, Native-American one month. (For professional developmetn two years ago, so in 2009-10, my department spent the year studying International students...so this year's focus on AHANA students gives us another purposeful opportunity to learn more about the terrific diverse student body we get to have at Calvin.
0 Development & Service. In terms of sustainability, I have done three things: 1. I have shut off the HVAC unit in my office. I have found that I don't need it, as my office is cared for well enough by air flow from the general office area (unless I keep my door closed for long periods of time, which is very unusual). 2. I have made it a practice to shut off my office lights anytime I am not in my office. 3. I have made it a practice, and encouraged the same of my colleagues, to limit printing jobs - by utilizing more electronic filing and/or by always printing on both sides of page.

To do so, you have one of two choices:
